  • Cassandra Coria

    Based in Modesto, California

    Born and raised in the Central Valley of California, Cassandra has always had a deep appreciation and passion for preserving our planet. After receiving her Masters in Sustainability Management from UC Merced, Cassandra landed a role as Sustainability & Environmental Specialist at Conagra (Oakdale, CA). Here, she helps ensure the manufacturing plant meets all local, state, and federal regulations for emissions, water, and waste. Additionally, she actively looks for opportunities to be more sustainable such as recycling initiatives and awareness training. Working in sustainability has made her passionate in driving diversity and inclusion within the industry which has led her to joining Latinx in Sustainability. By joining LiS, she hopes to contribute in creating a robust network of Latinx who are passionate and driven- invigorating them to feel included and motivated in their careers. In her free time, Cassandra likes to spend time with her dogs, read, and cook.

  • Litzy Gastelum Arguelles

    Based in New York City

    Litzy joined the Latinx in Sustainability initiative in December 2023, aiming to bolster its efforts in expanding opportunities for emerging talent in the industry and enhancing accessibility to training and opportunities to address workforce shortages in combating climate change. Currently employed as a Staff Consultant at EY Climate Change and Sustainability Services Practice, she utilizes her expertise in environmental and social impact to enhance community and business well-being, focusing on waste reduction, emissions mitigation, and operational efficiencies. She also actively contributes to EY's initiatives in circularity, voluntary carbon markets, biodiversity, human rights, social impact, equity, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I). Prior to joining EY, Litzy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies and Film & Media from Tufts University. Her background includes a range of experiences such as research in the clean energy sector, development of communication strategies at a nonprofit, and content creation for a solar energy firm. Outside of work, she finds joy in ceramics crafting, visiting art galleries, practicing running and yoga, and traveling.
